UNDERWATER SPACE HUMAN MEMORY — THE EXPERIENCE OF A HETEROTOPIA

NOA SHEIZAF

With her project Amphibian in a Time Loop, artist Noa Sheizaf connected the realms of the sea with themes of memory and time. She transformed The Lab into an immersive underwater space that merged her expertise in marine archaeology and photography with a personal exploration of how human memory is constructed. The installation created a heterotopia, where aesthetic and perceptual rules diverged from the norm, enhanced by an ingenious soundscape crafted by Nir Jacob Younessi specifically for the piece.
